AHS Family Health Center opens doors to women providing a safe space to share experiences. This is a great opportunity to voice your feelings and learn alternative ways of coping with stress. The primary aim of the group is to enable women to come together, empower themselves and enhance their general well being.

Small Business Week 2007
Each year, the President proclaims a week as National Small Business Week to pay tribute to the accomplishments of outstanding small business owners and those who champion their cause. In Illinois , Small Business Week is traditionally celebrated during June. In 2007, it will be held the week of June 24-30. Activities will take place across the state culminating in a day of training, procurement matchmaking, and a statewide awards reception on June 27, 2007. The training and matchmaking sessions will be held during the day at Navy Pier. The Awards Reception and Lake Michigan Cruise will take place on the Odyssey II that evening.
WHO: All Illinois firms are eligible for the "12 Track" Training Sessions,Matchmaking Procurement Conference, and the AwardsReception/Dinner Cruise. The one-day workshop and matchmakingsession targets all small businesses seeking assistance from theU.S. Small Business Administration and its resource partners.
WHAT: The training will enhance small businesses' ability to assess theirbusiness, establish baselines around critical indicators of businesssuccess, and craft an action plan. Some of the topics highlighted inthe training courses include: * Corporate supplier diversity strategies; * Marketing, winning, and doing business with the federal government; * Understanding federal, state, and certification programs; * Creating capital access strategies to obtain loans and surety bonds; and * Forming strategic alliances and understanding SBA partnership agreements. Summer is here and that means my art programs are outside as well as inside. Drop me a line to find out about which parks or festivals I'll be at. All ages are welcome. The West Ridge Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Devon Bank and Recycle Plus to bring the RECYCLE FOR EDUCATION to our Community. This unique opportunity will help our environment and keep proceeds of recycling here in our community to be used for various educational programs.
