The West Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Devon Bank and Recycle Plus have teamed up to bring our community a place to recycle locally and for a good cause. * BRING YOUR ITEMS: * Paper, newsprint, magazines, glass, plastics, cans, metals etc etc * Please rinse and crush bottles and cans A portion of the money generated will stay in West Ridge and fund community education programs. Do you know of a school or program that is looking for funding? Philip Rogers Elementary School Celebrates 70 Years!
Philip Rogers Elementary School is celebrating 70 years of educational excellence. To mark the occasion all alumni from the 1937-1997 classes, parents, staff and friends of the school are cordially invited to attend a light buffet dinner and refreshments (no alcohol will be served) at the school. Friday, October 19, 2007 at 5:30 PM -9:00 PM. Tickets are $25.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance no later than October 12, 2007. No ticket sales will be at the door. Law at the Library How to Find a Lawyer If You Can't Afford One

It features a presentation by an experience attorney, followed by a brief question and answer session. The Crucible - One book, One Chicago Together, the Chicago Public Library and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company present four public discussions and various locations. * Wed. October 24 * 6pm * Northtown Branch 6435 N. California Steppenwolf actors will read a scene form the pay, followed by perspectives from Wahaj Ahmed -IQRA Book Center, Commander Bruce Rottner - 24th District Chicago Police Dept, Vimal Prajapati - West Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Sylvia Ewing - producer of Steppenwolf Cultural Intersections. These speakers will reflect on how these themes of The Crucible relate to their communities - from the impact of fear on civil rights to questions of what liberties we might trade for safety. Audience participation is encouraged.
West Ridge Community Survey
Join the West Ridge Chamber of Commerce, WRPCO and the Indo-American center for the wrap up of the West Ridge Community Survey. Many of you participated in focus group sessions conducted by University of Illinois over this past year.
